Supercuts New England are family owned and operated. We opened our first New England location in 1983 and have grown to over 75 locations in the last 25 years. In that light we have taken great steps to make sure that we are giving back to the communities in which we are located.

In 1975, Frank Emmett and Geoffrey Rappaport, the founders of Supercuts, determined that the public was ready for a new choice in haircare establishments, a place that differed from the traditional men's barber shop, or women's beauty salon.

Their concept was a store where customers–men, women and children alike–could get a quality haircut at a reasonable price, without the inconvenience of having to make an appointment. Customers could choose and be charged for only those services they specifically wanted. Those services were shampoo, haircut, blow dry, and styling. These basic services remain virtually the same today–over 20 years and millions of customer visits later.

The first Supercuts store was opened in the fall of 1975 in Albany, California, and was an instant success. Five more locations were opened in 1978 and again proved to be very successful. By the end of that year, demand for their revolutionary ideas was such that they decided to formally franchise the Supercuts concept.

Today the Supercuts brand is owned by Regis Corporation, the largest hair care provider in the U.S. Together, franchisees like ourselves and Regis Corporation operate over 2000 salons worldwide. These stores produce over 33 million customer visits per year and will continue to grow in both number and popularity.
